Directions:

From Denver and points north:

Take I-25 south to Walsenburg , CO exit 52 into Walsenburg. Take highway 160 west toward Alamosa to highway 12 ( Scenic Highway of Legends) then south 5 miles to La Veta.

From Kansas and points east:

Take highway 50 west through La Junta, CO then turn onto highway 10 to Walsenburg , CO . In Walsenburg take highway 160 west toward Alamosa to highway 12 ( Scenic Highway of Legends) then south 5 miles to La Veta.

From Texas , NM and points south or southwest:

Take I-25 north at Raton , NM and proceed north to exit 49 in Walsenburg , CO . In Walsenburg take 160 west toward Alamosa to highway 12 ( Scenic Highway of Legends) then south 5 miles to La Veta. During summer months you may elect to take highway 12 from Trinidad , CO crossing Cuchara Pass then to La Veta. However, it may be inadvisable to take this mountainous highway during winter or spring months. Check weather conditions.

From Alamosa and points west:

Take highway 160 east across La Veta Pass. Continue to highway 12 ( Scenic Highway of Legends) then south 5 miles into La Veta.
